We had the enormous pleasure of being guests on the extremely popular Canadian talk show 100 Huntley Street. Not only did we get to escape a little pre-summer Florida heat and humidity, but we met some amazing people and had an experience we’ve never experienced as writers……
Live TV. LIVE, live.
Somehow, the fact that we were being aired to over 1.5 million people LIVE was glossed over in our emails and interactions with the staff. In fact, the director on the set said these words to us, just before we were about to air:
“You are talking to one mom. One mom out there who’s tuning in to hear just you. Just speak to her. What would she like to hear?”
That was enough to help calm our nerves a bit. Although we had just been in a professional make-up studio, ironed our clothes in a hotel room and had a crazy day of travel the day before, that’s what it was all about:
One mom.
She’s our inspiration for everything. We think about her often. Our goal is to help her, wherever she is in her mothering journey. We want her to know that God sees and hears her heart, the one that wants nothing more than to please Him and be a good mom.
1.5 million people? Nope. That’s not why we do what we do. We do all of it for one — and the One.
