What if I told you that there was a billboard in your child’s life that you could write on all the time?
They can’t even argue with it, erase it or ignore it.
Where is it?
The bathroom or bedroom mirror.
That’s right!
When I was a teenage girl my mother used this “billboard” to remind me that “No matter how tired you are, wash your face every night!”
It worked. It’s hard to ignore something that’s written in red lipstick across the top of a mirror!
How can we use this billboard today to bless our kids with bold faith?
Here are a few examples:
1.
2. A prayer for our children on the mirror
If you’d like our “A Prayer for Our Children” FREE printable, we’d love to send it to you. Simply subscribe to our blog via email at the bottom of this post.
3. A scripture verse: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11
4. Another encouraging message: Of course there’s “Have a great day!” “I love you”,”Good morning sunshine!” or “Don’t forget to brush your teeth!”
Tools of the trade for writing on mirror are dry erase markers, lipstick (not one that you particularly like!), eyeliner pencils or even ones that are specifically designed for it by Crayola.
I would love to hear some suggestions and get our moms brainstorming on great ideas! Let’s tweet them at #writeonmirror, share on our Facebook page or comment below.
