Melinda Means holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from Taylor University. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Christian Counseling from Colorado Theological Seminary.

She is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor (LCPC) with the National Christian Counselors Association and a Minister of the Christian faith. She is also a Certified Professional Life Coach through the Christian Coach Institute and earned the NPT-C credential, a Certificate in Neuropsychotherapy that includes advanced training in the Neuroscience of Complex Trauma, Addiction and Grounding Techniques.

Melinda’s heart for ministering to the hurting grew from the ways God has worked in her own life as she’s fought anxiety and chronic illness, raised a special needs child, faced difficult parenting challenges and grappled with mental health issues with family members. She knows that is it possible to heal from the lies and wounds that keep us in bondage and live a life of freedom. Her heart is to walk with individuals through the challenges of life and help them discover the hope and healing that is possible through Jesus Christ.

Melinda has worked as a staff member at her church for over 10 years in both Women’s Ministry and Community Outreach. She has spent more than 20 years as a healthcare writer and for a variety of Christian publications. She is the author of five books, including Unraveled Roots: Exposing the Hidden Causes of Damaging Behaviors; Invisible Wounds: Hope While You’re Hurting and Rewired Heart: Finding the Freedom of a Whole New You.
